They flee from drug war and they find a closed US border

Every year, thousands of Central Americans flee the drug war and go to the US in search for asylum. Reina Aguiluz is one of those who have arrived at the border between Mexico and the US, after receiving death threats in her home country. However, the US government has made it harder for asylum seekers to receive protection since 2018.

Cada año, miles de centroamericanos huyen de la guerra del narcotráfico y se dirigen a Estados Unidos en búsqueda de asilo. Reina Aguiluz y su familia es una de tantos que ha logrado llegar a la frontera entre México-Estados Unidos para buscar asilo, luego de haber recibido amenazas de muerte. Sin embargo, desde el 2018 el gobierno de Estados Unidos ha endurecido sus reglas para acoger migrantes y refugiados.
